Hello everyone and welcome to The Funporium blog!
We would like to take this opportunity to introduce ourselves and tell you all a little of what we do, why we do it and what we want to do next!
My name is Michael and i am joined by my brother Mark. We are the core behind the Funporium. We process the orders, find the stock, work the social media and do it awesomely. We started the Funporium in the midst of COVID-19 with restrictions hitting Australia we needed an outlet for collectors who had become our friends over the last few years.
Opening an online store was a daunting task which we had no experience in. We had done physical retail for decades but this was new and exciting. Our goal was to first provide good service in a tough situation but ultimately to expand our offerings and find more friends along the way who enjoyed collecting.
We started building the collector base with products like TY Beanie Boos, Funko Pop! Vinyls and with the explosion in popularity over this period, Ravensburger jigsaw puzzles. We want to keep expanding and adding all new products to compliment what we do and build a fun environment to shop.
Why a blog? That is a good question me. I would like to say firstly we are not exactly the most articulate or outgoing. Sometimes finding the right words are tough so a blog was always scary. But we believe it is an important way to interact with our community. So here we are. Our very first post and while not the most fun or exciting it hopefully will give some context to who we are.
So in the future we will be talking about products, events, general commentary and a bit of feedback about what goes on in the Funporiums world. We look forward to sharing this with you all.
